Hopefully to be instructive... poor language skills can be the death of culture. :)

so hear they are then the 2010 topgear awards

Hear is a verb: to perceive sound, listening, to be informed. We hear what you're saying. The transitive is heard.

Here is an adjective, adverb, or noun: at or in this place. Here is where we are now.

Example: We're here today to discuss Topgear's 2010 Awards. I hear that some people think the list is lame.

Similar rules for Their and There: Their camping spot is way over there. Savvy?

Agreed... wish we got the DS3! At least the GT2 RS is available to those with deep pockets.

A shame that it looks so ghastly, the little Citroën.

Agreed. I'd go for a Mini anyday.

What was May's car of the year?

Was the 458 eligible or is that considered last year? What about the 599GTO?

-Cheers, Nic

May's car was the Veyron SS.

Here's the source link (http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/the-2010-top-gear-awards).

I like the shape, but knowing you, that is irrelevant, it will still look ghastly:)
There is actually a remote chance right now that we will trade the Stilo for one....

I love how predictable Richard's car was.

The shape is fine, the detailing not so much.

But if you get the THP all is forgiven. :)

the choice fell on a C3 E-Hdi, which with an average CO2 emission of 95 gram per km, is exempt from sales and road tax.

Apparently though, in the real world the 207 is much better.

However it's not particularly good looking either.

as you know, I don't live in the real world. (And there is no comparable 207 to the tax-exempt C3 version).

Ins't there a 99g version of the 207? At least there is here.

yes, there is one here as well, but with 99 grams it does not meet the government requirements for tax exemption, it is therefore 2000 euro more expensive than the C3 and you still have to pay almost 100 euro a month for road tax.

93 gram for the C3, obviously this minute 6 grams makes all the difference. If the government wants to introduce silly rules, you might as well use them.

I am all in favour of less road tax for less polluting cars. However the current system has some anomalies:)

DS3's are just hitting the dealerships around my parts. They look really tall for what they are. and overwrought.
