Hey guys, I took my missus to Bali for our 5 year anniversary (Of dating).

In short bali is amazing, absolutely everything is dependant on tourism.

We did the usual touristy things, Shopping in Kuta, Ubud and Seminyak, went to the Bali Zoo (amazing for such a small island) and many other things.

Anyways, There are lots of temples. rice fields, shrines and bikes. The beaches aren't worth traveling there alone for - Australian beaches are cleaner and can be just as secluded and private.

But for five days in a 5 star private villa I feel the cost is very comfortable.

On to some photos yes?

This first lot were all taken at the "Sunset temple" Tanah Lot.

This was just one of thousands of stone sculptures to be found on the road out to Ubud.
Each village specialises in just one craft, stonework, woodwork, silverwork, goldworks, fabrics etc.

This is a traditional "Batik", made by painting melted wax onto the garment.

A cool photo taken at the silverworks - He turned a flat disk into a beautiful half hemisphere in about 3 minutes.

Looks like a nice place to vacation.

I'm more interested in the gear- looks like a DSLR or advanced point and shoot?

I didn't want to risk losing or breaking my D5000 so I took my GF's Nikon D50 (5 years old!) and my new 35mm F.18 lens. Thats why theres alot of chromatic aboration around bright edges.

Simply beautiful photos WB, exceptional... and we know you write well. Have you considered producing your own online travelogue?

And good on ya for exhibiting that romantic streak; five years dating is what she might call a commitment. ;)
