Yes, I am extremely late at posting this, but better late than never right?

The event was held in October of 2010 on the lawn in front of the Physics building at Stony Brook and it was an all Italian vehicle meet.

I have no idea what the names of these cars are called. In fact, it's probably the first time I've seen so many Alfa Romeos together at one time. They seem to be a very enthusiastic group and they meet every October.

The weather was really crappy though, so my white balance was all over the place and I didn't have my DSLR with me.

Guys, let me know if any of these cars are of particular significance, I seriously have no idea about any of the history of any of these cars.

More Alfas!

so far the rarest is probably the black Fiat 1500 cabriolet. The Alfas are relatively common at least over here. Keep them coming though.

The overcast day meant my white balance was all over the place, but that also meant that the lighting wasn't as harsh.

I thought the Lancia Scorpion was pretty cool. I've seen Alfa 164s once or twice, but never a Lancia.

Here are some bikes. I know far less about the bikes than the cars. That is to say, pretty much nothing at all.

I do like the Ducati's license plate surround though.

Lancia Scorpion looks what was called Beta Monte Carlo overhere. No Giulia GTAs?

Ferrari Testarossa- I keep finding that I come back to it more often than the Ferrari F430 cabriolet.

The 550 Maranello in grey I quite like as well. I overheard the owner speaking to a couple guys saying how his hand shook when he wrote the check to pay for the car. His car cost more than his house. :D

Probably bought it new.

I came back around to the Fiat to shoot it's badge- I figured it was pretty old.

I liked the Alfa in pic 3 in this set quite a bit.

I wouldn't know if I saw one. :D

I still have a bit to post.

The F430 Cabriolet.

The local constabulary sizing up his prey. :D

The 550 Maranello's engine bay.

Some more on the Lancia Scorpion.

Any info on the lime green bike?

And an interior shot of the Fiat.

Some more on the Sprint Veloce.

I believe that is the interior of the Testarossa.

I completely forgot about the Maserati Quattroporte. It's a very clean example owned by an old gentleman. I overheard one of the participants note that that man's example is so clean it's the only Quattroporte that won't leak oil. :D

And to my complete surprise, I saw a Scuderia.

Honestly, I was hoping to see the Ferrari P4/5 there. :D

This is the last set. I didn't stay the whole time, I think I had a physics exam the next day.

I'll certainly be better prepared for next year's event.

Love the mix of modern supercar and classic collector's. And that 308 is wonderful, even if it's not the Magnum PI-spec red GTS.

I do agree, I usually go to the NY Auto Show, but I am sometimes bored by the selection of cars there because I follow automotive news, so I've probably seen the cars they'll be showing there anyway. Seeing the older cars at other auto shows such as this one really is more interesting, especially since the owners are there too. I sometimes overheard conversations and snippets, but I don't know enough to carry through a full conversation about these old Italian girls.

It's a Moto Guzzi V11 Sport.

Thanks. I saw the name on the gas tank, I thought that was a model designation, not a manufacturer name.

My camera is showing its age. It went over 10,000 clicks sometime that week and had reset itself to the 100s by that time.
