I registered with new name cause my user account didn't work!

I don't know what is the reason of it, but i couldn't log in. I asked to send me a password (i thought that i forgot it) but it didn't work. So i registered with the new name. Could you tell me, how to delete my old account, or it will be deleted because it's not used.
