im not suprised they cut it, imguessing they were trying out something new, it seemed like it worked so they pulled out while on top, seems like the smart thing 2 do, but i get the feeling the next few bmw models aren't gonna be as good

according to this magazine(autocar)

the writer of this article is surprised that the z8 was axed as their sales were good

5500 units

there is no comment by BMW

Actually, they axed the production about a year ago, and since then its been the Alpina Roadster V8. I still think the Z8 was waayy better than it, since the Alpina is only available in automatic and didn't share the same fabled engine.

the z8 is axed and the current e39 m5 has also ended its life - reasons - the 6 series will be the priority of bmw thus they do not want to unecesarrily spend their money on something which is going to die out anyway - the e39 m5 has its production seized because of the current e60 5 series
