I give you the new Ferrari racer, circa 1970. Looking at its specs will tell the story. You decide if it’s for you, and if you can provide a faster spec Ferrari model than this one, than by all means let me see it.

I wonder if Chris Amon was adaquately paid for using his name?

Ad is from the October, 1970 Hot Rod Magazine.

this looks a model of the 612, the first Ferrari can-am car. (after the P4 conversions) Ferrari went on to develop the 712 (based on chassis 1010, originally a 512S). This one is still being raced in historics and has a 7 litre engine with 800 NM of torque and over 850 BHP. I have no idea about the "scale" mph, but it is very fast, however lacking heavily on downforce. (The owner also has a 312 PB which he uses for slower tracks).

Thanks for the info Henk4.

It should be easy to find out the exact car in my post if we google Chris Amon for 1970, no?

Scale mph is listed as 440. Im no genuis but I think that you divide by 43. That gives you 10.232 mph. Neat eh, Henk4? 1/43 scale, yes? So it must be 1/43rd of 440. LOL!

I heard so much about Gran Toros Ferrari and this interest me a lot. It’s a sexy car and powerful car.Great design and as Ferrari said it can make 0-62 mph run in under five seconds and capable of achieving a top speed of 440 mph.

I think you failed to understand the concept of scale speed.
