actually it was to WOW the crouds at ther 2001 geneva motorshow - well its actually a one seater car based on the 3200GT and has a weight reduction to 1300kg - it actually potraits maserati's success and dominance in one seater racing - its only a concept but its a bloody ****in fantastic concept

I got to drive a Bora and the sound of that glorious engine made me fall in love with it and for that it has to be the best Masi ever.

looks nice?

motorhead

oh man totally dissapointing - i thought it would look damn flashy like the 3200GT and the 4200GT but its a dissapointment - it does not look that nice also - prefer the old quattroporte - way better - in design and style - but take a look at this model

motorhead
06-21-2003, 05:15 AM
this is the back of the same model - i think its official

this is just a design study, probably for the Quattroporte, it's like a concept car, to show people what, in this case, maserati is doing. But a model like this is a lot cheaper.
My favourite maserati will be the Merak

ok but the strange thing is that all the first spy pics regarding the quattroporte all look like the model - but its officially not so bad bad move maser

I agree with you that the model looks much better than the quattroporte on the picture, but maybe they had some problems with aerodynamics or something, and changed the front. It could be that the car gets a facelift in a couple of years, and it will look like the model then, nobody knows.

a lot of users here seem to like this car eh - good choice though - nothing bad abput it except the paintwork - blue does not go with white

I think blue and white are a good combination, I swa it before with the Ford GT and I thought it a very good combination.

How can Maserati build such beautiful cars and then build this - 1988!

I couldn't afford any other Maserati's - so I bought a Spyder Biturbo (i) on the weekend -
for $AUS17,000.00 (about $US16.00, I think).
No - don't ask me why - it's a bloody boring car to look at - and if you believe half of what you read it's also VERY slow.
But as a new owner I'm happy to say that when the turbos kick in (about 2600rpm) it's almost uncontrollable and great f..king fun.:D
I haven't been able to wipe the smile off my face:D
What a steal -
$17 f..king thousand dollars:D
