This car is not a 4CS, but a Tipo 26B> The only 4CS cars in the '36 Mille Miglia were: No 57, Tenni/Bertocchi in a 1500, probaly 1529: No 47, Bergamini/rugiere in an 1100, probably 1123: No 52, Bianco/Boccali in an 1100, 1126. Numbers have been checked as far as possible against the entry records in the Mille Miglia Museum and cross-checked against the known owners at the time.

Thank you for the correction.

Can a mod please change the title?

Maserati Tipo 26B #1

I have recently had sight of other pictures of this car, some of which show the registration number and a check through the records shows that this car is actually Maserati 4CS chassis number 1113. The car is shown in the lists of entries to the Mille Miglia as a 26B, but it is possible that it was a late switch by Rocco, who was the registered owner of 1113 at the time. I have also seen a picture of the same car in Eritrea just before the war and wonder if it remained there!

Whatever it is, here is another 26. Unless it isn't. Or something. :p
