I found this beauty on AutoTrader Classic today. This car is a total beauty. It won the Giant's Despair Hillclimb which is by far one of the hardest hill-climb event of all time. It has only ever participated in hill-climbs but it could show potential in other classic events. It has a small V8 with a 4-speed manual transmission. It was engineered and constructed by Bill Sadler who built and drove his road racing specials with legends such as Scarab, Ferrari, Maserati, and Chaparral. The current asking price is 650,000 USD.

$650,000 is a lot steep for a little known car with not a lot of history to it. Also, the rims look kinda fake, like something off of like a Superformance replica. Nonetheless, it's another car that has been brought to my attention and can store in my memory banks, so thank you

No problem. Bill Sadler actually has a car on UCP. I think its a Chevy Special. And I noticed the rims. They look fake but I'm sure the originals were lost somewhere in its 50 year history.

Her is one of his later creations: 1961 Sadler Mk 5 Chevrolet - Images, Specifications and Information (http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/5153/Sadler-Mk-5-Chevrolet.html)

The wheels look like period correct Halibrands.

The car was highly successful at the time, setting records at the Giant's Despair Hillclimb for three years straight.....

The original Halibrand wheels were black but I suppose that someone repainted them some time in the past.
