It was last Sunday at Cars and Coffee Irvine that I saw my first McLaren P1. It most assuredly drew a crowd. I won't of course say that I wasn't impressed. But, Is any car worth $860,000. I'm sure I don't know. However, what struck me was how fickle or jaded the automotive enthusiasts in Southern California have become. There were a number of other McLarens on hand MP4 12Cs, and 650s and people walked by them like they were Chevy Impalas, not even a second glance. Cars like these are certainly yesterdays news to the New Port Beach crowd.
