which Porsche do you like most

Scientist

It's BMW for me...

But would you call Brabus and Maybach manufacturers?
Brabus is a MB tuner and Maybach is kind of a luxury sub-brand from MB

Touran
06-24-2003, 07:07 AM
Brabus is a MB tuner indeed, but i call it a manufactor because they are making their own cars based on MB's

When i call Maybach not a manufactor, i shouldn't call Smart a manufactor too, because Smart is powered by MB too.

audi guys - audi is actually thrashing BMW and mercedes benz - they did it with the A8, Rs6, Rs4 - they got the best interiors - the best looks - the best performance(have you thought of a estate passing a 911) a lot of practicality durablity(especially their interiors)and overall appeal - they are just perfect, perfect

motorhead
06-24-2003, 10:42 AM
oh yeah one more very very important point - motor racing - whenever they enter a sector they do extreamly well - so there you go

Toyota, their F1 cars are built in Colon. (Germany). I noticed that the poll excludes Ford Germany, is that for a special reason? And by the way, Alpina also counts as a separate manufacturer.

Sure, that explains why Wiesmann is in the poll.
Ford is producing more cars than Porsche.

Alpina was founded by Burkhard Bovensiepen in the early sixties, and is based in Kaufbeuren, Southern Bavaria.

In Germany Alpina is officially considered to be an independent car maker, there is no BMW badge on the car. Brabus has a similar status.
Of course they both use "another" marque as the basis of their products.

Just remember DamilerChrysler may be making a lot of money because it has built up a following and can reach all over the world with products under different brand names. BMW does it all under the one. And Porsche is the most profitable car company in the world, so there!

My Vote: Volkswagen. Lets face it, Volkswagen AG is one of the biggest car manufacturers in the world making quality product, one you factor in Bugatti and Bentley the appeal just goes through the roof. And remember Motorhead, Audi is owned By Volkswagen also....
