You're welcome. :)

Now, they only need to announce the production version. ;)

No use to me if this is a Japan/Euro only model.

Still waiting on the Honda S660 to get a bigger engine so they can launch it here too.

I'm being highly optimistic right now though.

I think that the S660 (unfortunately) will remain a JDM-only affair.

On the other hand a report says that the production version of this would get a 1.5 litre 130bhp, so Euro sales are a possibility.

Not sure about the US though.

As I recall, there were murmurings of Toyota licensing the MX-5 platform for a new 86. I wonder if this is related/something.

That would be weird. Completely different engine, plus they'd have to build a roof over it.

I hope they're still going forward with that sports car they're making with BMW. Fingers crossed that they have a similar philosophy as the GT-86- simple, relatively cheap and comes with a stick.

It would be helpful to also call it a Supra.

Makes sense they'd want to use an in-house engine and leaving the boxing to Subaru for the next one. Also this new guy is closer in size to the MX-5 than the 86 is, though still not super close (it's longer/narrower). They have publicly stated that it's not related to the MX-5 at all, but hey.. it's a 'concept', I'm sure that can change before launch.

Video from Toyota.

Not sure why it's unlisted though.
