Hello, gentlepersons of UCP. Though I've visited occasionally, it has been as a lurker, not participant. Since my last posts my wife and I have sold a business, dealt with personal loss but also positive affirmations of our 38 years together. She will retire this November, and we plan on travelling as we once did, near and far. Yes, a motorhome will be involved but I promise the turn signals will only be used when needed. We aren't geriatric yet. ;)

A lot happens when you aren't marking time, and avoiding stasis. Sold several cars, completed restorations on others, moved into much larger shop space, put vintage racing on hold to pursue other interests. Anyway, I'll try to engage when asked, advise when not, and poke my nose into discussions of interest from time to time. Hope none of you mind a zombie returning to feed occasionally. :)

Nice to hear you are doing okay. Also some nice things to look forward too.
I'm also not so active as I use to be because I have two young children (age 3 years and 8 months). Which makes me understand my parents all the more :-)

Congratulations on the children and totally understandable. Since I've joined I've got a full time job now.

Everyone has to deal zombie phase in their life where they will put on hold the things they usually do for a more important thing. ;)

Heck I've been much more of a zombie than maybe any of the old regulars here. Cheers! It would be nice for us to get back together here.

Wasn't really that active back in the day but I do remember a couple of you guys. Good old days though. :)

I was checking what was my last post and it was about my 2010 Mustang! I traded that car with a new 2015 GT as soon as I graduated at the end of 2014. A few weeks later a got my new Mustang shipped to Kuwait and I'm still enjoying it. :)

I'm still active here. But it is pretty silent lately. Apart from some bots.

In the spirit of old users revisiting the forum, I am also not dead. Become a Husband, Dad and 3D Printing Engineer since I last graced these pages.

...also never did finish the Luego.

I am still kicking.

Went back to university to become a mechanical engineer, just about to finish. Wild to see some folks still around with the tumbleweeds.

Another not quite dead person here. Have had my ups and downs both professionally and personally and still alive and kicking.

Oh just forgot, in a couple of months it's good bye Alfa.

Truly, a sad day.

What's next?

One of the last great ones.

A BMW M140i.

I still lurk! Graduated and spent the last several years kick-starting (and restarting) my career. Currently spending my free time trying to get a Volvo 245 Turbo roadworthy again.

I'm still here haha.

I ended up finishing college, medical school, and now I'm a 2nd year doctor in training.

I still don't own a car though, which is massively disappointing but I'm glad I don't have to be stuck in traffic because I don't have a commute to the hospital. In fact, I never did own a car, even though I drive my father's cars quite frequently. I also never learned stick. I know, I'm an embarrassment to the automotive community here.

Don't worry manual gearboxes are more and more rare as time passes. Even here in Europe.

I feel like it's one of those rites of passages as a car enthusiast to learn. I also tend to like and appreciate older cars, so when I make some disposable income I can buy something interesting.

You can add another of the undead to the list ;) 5 years since I was last around but still remember a lot of the names in this thread. Completely off the grid making a family & building a home to grow old in but my automotive passions aren't quite ready for the history books just yet lol :D
