Recently the officials of both F1 and V8 Supercars have made, what many people consider, stupid decisions.

Case 1: For F1, almost everyone feels that the situation at the US gran Prix where Ralf Schumacher crashed could have been dealt with alot quicker and safer. Whether that falls down on F1 or the officials on site at Indyanapolis sometimes escapes people minds in their arguments, but at the end of the day mistakes had been made.

Case 2: Hours after yesterdays race in Queensland, it was announced that Round 6 winnder Marcos Ambrose would be fined $10,000 and stripped of 192 chamionship points, after post race scrutineering had revealed a breach in technical rules. To be exact, Ambrose's car had an excess 50m piece of wire and unused wire clip coming out of the ECU. Scrutineeres all agreed it was unintentional on the teams behalf, and that it yielded no benefit whatsoever to the performance of the car, yet Ambrose was still heavily fined. To put it in perspective, Garth Tander recently had a points penalty of 75 points after it was revieled his engine crankshaft was under the minimum weight. Now which seems fair, -192 points for an extra wire, or -75 for a lighter crankshaft?

That second case is really unfair!
