Shoot it
A new challenge that will need a Digital Camera and a local car park/town. The aim of the game is to basically take some pictures of a car that you could find lying around the local car park or anywhere possible. You'll get given a car for each 2 weeks to get as most pictures taken or the best car you can find.You post your pictures on this thread and than at the end of the two weeks I will set up a poll for members to vote who got the best shots. Artistic shots such as having the sunset in the glare of the cars body would be a perfect example. Youll also get a new picture to take such as the dust cap, something original so we know you havent just taken it off the net. This will be at your own risk, its your choice to take the pictures but please don’t reply saying something like “ I got put in a coma for 3 days after a guy smacked my head in”.

The Rules

DON’T mention your getting pictures for Ucp (we don’t want Wouter getting into any trouble)
Photos from shows count
Photos previously taken before this thread don’t count
There's 2 weeks to post the shots
Pictures I feel are off the net/or dodgy pics don’t count


The first car will be the Audi TT, this is quite a common car in most countries, If you live in Africa/third world countries sorry! If you don’t have a digital camera I am sorry as well!
And the also a picture of a dust cap. (proof you’ve taken them)
The member who wins the first comp will chose the next car.

You're NOT going to believe this. I used to see a white TT parked in the driveway of this house almost everytime I was on my way to the supermarket/store. But since you've posted this thread it's not there anymore!

Hell the "rally thread" I create ( and in MY big-headed moment made it a sub-forum ) has only had ONE person compete in it. It's a joke, but I've decided I'm going to see it through to use outside of UCP. I'm not bothered that it bombed.
The one thing experience brings is that to suceed you have to fail lots of times. If you let the failure hurt then you'll never try as often and then fail to find the success.

one or two excellent pics are better than 100 average.
Remeber that 'opinion' will be built based on the total quality. So again 10 good and 1 fantastic pic will likely only be remebered as 10 good. One excellent on it's own, will be remembered as excellent :)

- They can be submitted at any stage throughout the week
- At the end of the week I will judge best pic. (im flexible on this, if you guys think its better i set up a separate thread i will, PM me about it)

The Focus stays as the car to shoot. I thought id make it intersting by giving you all a common car to shoot, thus youll have to work harder to get a "good" shot of one.

The next car, keeping this competition internationally friendly is a current model Lancer sedan (saloon), if you can find and Evo (doesnt matter what model) that counts too. If you cant find a current model you may enter an older one but current models will score higher.

so go SHOOT IT!

Hey its not that expensive to go to shows, I mean OK goodwood was a one off, i prob wont go for a while £117 :eek: but things like the NEC arent that bad you could get the train there for about £40 return and then its only £10 to get in.

Hopefully next year ill be off to german WRC :) if the comps still open ;)

Well, I have Vauxhalls, but nothing else. They are the same as Opels anyway! No Vauxhall Monaros, which is weird, because Crowthorne normally has all the new cars. We had the Porsche Cayenne and Bentley Continental GT before everyone else!
