If is anyone out there who love Abarth cars series 850 and 1000 tell something nice about this little rockets.
Small cars, small engines, but go like hell.
Me and my friends in Uzice,Serbia in poor condition whithout money, and resorces trys to make Carlo Abarth dream alive, making replicas of his cars from ours Zastava's 750( version of Fiat 600)
Everybody loking at as like at fools, but at the streets our cars are faster then lot of street racers.
150 km/h from 750ccm engine,and looking for more!I think that is something.
What do U think!

It is great to know that you are doing this. If you ever have a photograph of one of your cars you're welcome to show it to me.

I saw one of these about 25 years ago running in a sport sedan race at Adelaide International Raceway with a V8 ( Im not sure what ) hanging out of the back. It didnt do too well, not the best chassis dynamics I would imagine. Wild concept though, Ive never forgotten it.

I haven't seen a v8 in one of these, but I've seen a clubman (mini) with a Rover V8 installed at back. It was at a cruise in Southend UK. My point being it is highly possible.

Yes there was a car in the 70s in Western Australia that raced as a sports sedan. It was owned by Dick Ward and had a Abarth 1000TC body. Underneath it was all high tech with a Mazda Rotary (I forget if it was turboed of not) with a Hewland transaxle and full Formula car front suspension. It was also blindingly fast !!!! He is still around and operates a racing equipment company call Go-Gear in Perth, Western Australia.
