i can't seem to figure out how to resize a picture to 90X90 with windows, so can someone please resize this one?

how bout downloading it's thoumnail then cut off the excess background with paint brush, that's how I did my prius avatar

actually it's saying that that one's too big. I got this:
"That image is too large. The maximum dimensions are 90 by 90 pixels."

i think it's too wide. on macs in iPhoto there's a feature that allows you to export the picture and resize it, if anyone has a mac here.

Hmm... This is pretty much as good as you can hope for, there's no point in trying to make it square, cos it'll just ruin the pic.

that's ok, i guess there are some things that paint brush can't do.

i knew about that, it's just that you can't specify exact measurements. you have to guess & check til you get it right.

I use paintshop it comes with animation shop. You can either pay for it or use kazaa :)
There are freeware packages that do it, they were listed on UCP earlier but I can't find the post. Maybe you'll be luckier with a search.
or google for animated gif and you'll find options.
