I guess the title says it all. If you haven't driven your dream car, do you think you ever will? As far as I'm concerned, no I've never driven a Ferrari :( But if I keep working hard...I think I will.

Nope. Closet I've come to driving a Diablo GT is a Porsche Boxster. Not S or S Special Editon. My late uncle owned a Ferrari F355, but after passing away, the car was sold back to Ferrari. Damn, why did he have to die 2 weeks before I was supposed to see him? I could have at least sat in it.

Not yet, I have been a passenger in one of them tho - an SL55 AMG, my cousin worked at a M-B dealership, it was a 2 yr old trade-in.

Best car I have actually driven was a ('87 I think) 928s4 which belonged to my sister's boyfriend a few yrs ago.

I've driven a couple of my dream cars, best thing to do to get to drive them, act and look the business. Or work your ass of and receive as gift an Audi RS4 for a couple of days :D

My list:
I haven't driven a 356 speedster yet, but i have driven a 356B cabrio (which comes about close to it)
I drove a 993 Carrera RS (alltime favourite modern Porsche)
I drove a Lamborghini Countach (my dreamcar when i was about 12) But my uncle owns it so that wasnt that hard :)
I drove an Audi RS4 (my family dreamcar :) )

and many more perfomance cars (i was looking for a perfomance car a while back myself , S4, T5R, WRX etc) basicly if you come to a dealership in an expensive car, you can talk your way into a testdrive very good

no, i dont have my license, so i would be hard pressed to find someone who will let me drive their lamborghini murcielago.

the nicest car ive driven, is my dads 740iL, the most fun would be and 03 bmw 330i! its a blast! i think we broke some rules letting me drive it, cuz it was a loaner while my dads was being serviced. haha. bmw would freak out if they knew that.

i went to an import shop, said i was interested in purchasing the car, asked if i wanted to test drive i said in a very suppressed tone of excitement, "uh yea sure" and off we went, didnt even ask to see my license and im only 19! so i had a great time, never want to drive a non turbo again! boost is awesome! :D :D :D :p :p :p

You have to be 18 to drive a car in Italy, your American 16-year old's drivers license is worthless over here. You'll need a year extra of patience if you're going in a year ;) .

And no, I haven't driven a DB9...yet.

Gt carrera awesome car, If I hit the lottery it,s mine.

I get to drive alot of the cars I see here. Ferrari, lambo, porshe. If you guys want to be able to drive alot of your dream cars some of you should get into repairs.

I run a shop that does work for an exclusive dealership here on long island.... most of the sports stars in n.y and actors and performers buy their cars there. WE constantly get beautiful cars to work on. My whole day is a test drive....very cool. ... took Robert DeNiro's sons bmw for a coastal drive .

By the way the pay is awesome (as long as your in a union shop) Heres 1 of my dreams

One way to change that is to turn what you love to do into a business. It's not easy but the payoff is worth it:) People often think: "How can I get rich?" They should ask themselfs: "What do I love to do?" Since you love it, you'll do it better than anyone, the money will be a consequence of that. Just a bit of Taz wizdom ;)

Yeah, I'm trying to put that idea to good use, I would love to be a classic car restorer. My pa and I have restored 4 Mustangs and I'm gonna put myself through an ASE cert. program after I graduate college (I'm currently getting my Business Administration degree with an option in small business entrepreneurship). Eventually I'll start up a classic car restoration (my passion) and muscle car tuning (for money) shop.

well, I've driven a TR6, an old school Mustang, several corvettes... but no Corrado, 911 Turbo, 250 GTO or S4. I have ridden around in a corrado as a child, and rode in the backseat of a Carrera for a 5 hour trip from the coast and back when I was 5, and rode around in several Audi's back when I was a kid. but still no drives.

I have driven a Z06, btw. They're alright, but no screaming hell.

Be careful when you move here. Cost of living is ridiculously high. But you get rewarded, as you know, by the awesome weather and great kar kulture.

HOME home is up by San Jose, and Chico is way up here in the northstate, it's about 2 hours North of Sacramento and an hour and change South of Redding. I'm goin to school up here at Chico State.

Hmm, I'd always just imagined my '58 in some black. Although a nice, deep basecoat/clearcoat black with a cut and rub on it would look awesome...imagine several layers of clearcoat, each buffed out before the next layer. MMMM.

Thanks for the tip though.

For your 58 I was thinkin nice House of Kolors 3 stage shimrin candy:
red candy w/white pearl highlite or electric blue candyw/white pearl highlite.. gotta keep white on those oldies. But the customers always right. :)

they also have awesome black pearls and flake but personnaly black isn't my fav color on a car

Well good point on the cost of living...beats me how anyone affords to live there or here!

Interesting paint...I'm tryin to keep the '58 near stock on the looks, though, so trick paint like that wouldn't quite fit in. I like them as they came from the factory lookswise cuz Cadillac knew what they were doin. My mods are gonna be under the skin  . But on a lead sled type of job, that'd definitely be the way to go.

The blue and white is a scheme that interested me on a '59, though by now I'm thinkin' plain black for one of those, too, if (when) I get one.

Back when I lusted after a '63 Cad Convertible, though, I definitely wanted a nice kandy apple red or a black cherry color with a ton of flake in it. Has much more boring lines, needs paint like that to spice it up a little.

Dang, San Leandro's not far from my house at all, just a ride up the freeway or on the BART train. And I've spent a lot of time in Sac, my girlfriend used to live there :D .

It wasn't really on fast roads. It didn't last long, but I had to run it around town when it was in the shop (I work in a GM dealership, and our body shop has quite the reputation for doing top notch work. Thus, the owner brought the car to us. There were a few things that required attention from other specialists, though :D).

Lucky me, I have a bit of a reputation for being a good driver. That's rare in British Columbia.

Well, I was lucky enough to drive a F355 and F348 a few years ago. My girlfriend bought me a Ferrari driving day and, whilst it was great having 375hp behind your head, the Dax (in the background in yellow) was much more fun :D
