RX-7 Efini'

The other day i saw an black RX-7 pulling out of a gas station, underneath the RX-7 emblem at the back was a silver coloured "efini".can someone please tell me what this means and if it is any indication to the exact model, it looked like a fairly late year. :confused: ;)

I'm pretty sure Efini is just a little add on to the RX7, like GT Apex is added on to the AE86 RWD Corollas

efini is a sub brand of Mazda just like eunos, i belive the only cars ever sold with the efini name were the first and second gen RX-7's. the the cosmo and the miata were both sold under the eunos name (e.g. eunos cosmo and the eunos roadster. the then the Efini RX-7) they are not normal sub brands like pontiac or buick but more designations for which division of mazda the car came from. but in the US and many other countrys we didnt get these designations and it was just the Mazda RX-7 and the mazda miata. we didnt get the cosmo

Ok GTR Dreamer, that blue RX7 you linked to is a modified 3rd Generation RX7 with a custom front bumper, and a removed rear spoiler.
The first and second gen. RX7s were not the only cars to be sold with the Efini badging, as there are 3rd gen. RX7s with the small, silver "efini" badging just under the RX7 badge. To my knowledge, however, this has only been found on cars imported directly from Japan.

lol thats what i meant, the efini badge wasnt consived durring the regin of the 1st gen, what i meant was the 2nd and 3rd gens ;)
