I highly recomend NZPC (new zealand performance car) if you can get it, not full of porn like most other magazine, great articles and good event coverage.
www.performancecar.co.nz Fast Fours and SPEED are also good. :D :D ;)

i can especially recommend the dutch magazine Autokampioen. It is published by our motorist organisation anwb, and is made fro consumers. So its not a magazine that only drives ferraris and other exotics, but also rigourusly tests the fiat panda and many other off course.if a car sux , they simply say so.

i can also recommend the german magazine Auto, motor, und sport.i liked it in the few times i read it in germany.

Also a pretty good one is the carros magazine(dutch).Very nice pics, and good articles which read easily.

the autokampioen and carros make some money on me ;)

I'm a big fan of EVO, although it's ridiculously expensive in Canada, so I don't get it very often. I subscribe to Road and Track, which costs about as much per year as EVO costs for a couple of issues!

I like the german magazine "Sport Auto".
Its the sporty partner-magazine of "Auto, Motor, und Sport" published by the same company.
With less family cars etc... ;)

I have to admit to blowing quite a lot of money on buying and collecting car magazines. I buy virtually every issue of Car, EVO, Road and Track, Wheels, Motor, Australian Muscle Car and Australian Motorsport News. I also think that the two mainstream NZ car mags - New Zealand Autocar and Driver Magazine are pretty good, but I only get them when I return to NZ on holidays.
I look at and occasionally buy Autosport (very good, but too expensive in Australia), Classic Cars, Car and Driver, Motor Trend, Australian Classic Car, and many others.

I'm not really into Street Machine, NZ Performance Car, Fast Fours or any other "tuner" mags, nor the specialist marque magazines. I prefer the mainstream and motorsport magazines.

Of all the above, I most recommend Car and EVO. Its a toss up which is the best English language car magazine.

I have a subscription of EVO magazine, itīs a very nice mag about ineresting cars, meaning the best handling and perfomance cars, wherever they come from. they have some very reasonable and fair analisis , if it sucks it sucks and thatīs it,
I personaly enjoy reading every issue a lot, very good comparative tests, some good insights on the tecnical side but nothing excessive .
Recommend it thought i recognise the price is a bit high but the mag is good and bigger than most, not just in size but contents (meanig itīs not just a lot of publicity. ;)

Im subscribed to 'F1-Racing Magazine'

Its the best selling f1 magazine and you can tell why because other magazines like the 'official formula one magazine' are just full of adverts and realy arent good to read. But f1-racing gives you everything you need to know about the news and changes in f1 every month, it even shows you every detail each team has changed on their cars since the previous race, explaining why and how. Its a great magazine and i even got a free Schumacher hat when i subscribed! :D

I read EVO (when I can locate it), it is outrageously expensive in Canada as Egg Nog already stated ($12.50) but worth it. I will occassionally pick up an issue of "Automobile" magazine, but only if they have an article or test that interests me.

As far as C&D, R&T and MotorTrend magazines go, I find them almost amusing in their biased opinions, but a total waste as far as concise journalism goes. I would not be swayed to or from a purchase based on one of their tests.

I am subsribed to all of those too but to answer Baddabangs question Car and Driver doesn't offer quite the same mix of exotic and everyday drivers as the others, but then again neither does Automobile Magazine

The first ever car mag I bought was Crome & Flames when I was about 10/11, the front cover featured a chopped vovlvo with gullwing doors. Through my teenage years I built up a collection of Max Power magazines, untill I realised it was just full of soft porn, and people spending more money on the fake modifications than the cars were worth... However now I like to get EVO every month, and everyweek take a look at autocar to see if there are any interesting new models or stories. The funny thing is that most new cars/models etc, appear on UCP first!! I use to think that they lifted the pics of the web site!!

I love Wheels, Performance Car, High Performance Imports and Zoom magazine, aswell as New Zealand Autocar, and British Car and Autocar. Also NZ Speedsport is a good Kiwi Motorsport magazine. The local library here gets the latest edition of UK's Autocar every week, I pop down with my mum (she works there) and have a read :D Also Performance Ford magazine has got some pretty snazzy Falcons in it. :D

evo's my favorite. Great writing, great photography.

Auto Express is best for up-to-date news and stuff, although UCP usually has it first :)

That retro car mag looks good... time to go check out the 'site..

I'd have to say autoweek, since i'm reading it right now. After that, it's a tie between road and track and car and driver.

Superstreet (Funny, and informative). It provides coverage on the tuner scene. Another good magazine is Road & Track, though they dont mail me the monthly magazines...I hope a Road & Track rep is reading this.

one thing that I can honestly say is that our car magazines in North America SUCK compared to those in the UK. Whenever I'm over there, I stock up on magazines cus I know I won't be able to get them again unless I go back, or if someone I know goes over. My favs have to be Car, Evo, and Autocar.
