ok...theres been alot of fuss about this car lately, but i still fail to see the big deal about it. What is it that makes the Prius so special, is it revolutionary? its certainly not the looks so i cant figure it out. Please explain :)

Now stop that Karrmann, you know I've already pointed out it is NOT the most fuel-efficient production car in the world. NOT BY A LONG WAY !!!!
Anyway, c, it's actually nice looking in the flesh - if a little 'long' for the shape, but I reckon that's coz we're used to "dumpy" boxes :) It also drives quite well and has good acceleration for in-town and motorway use thanks to the combined output fo the engine AND the torque from the electric motor. All in all 'nice' but let down in a few areas so hard to justify the price. Just dont' think about wanting to tow :( - if you do then the Citroen Picasso will and carries more people, luggage, accelerates nearly as well AND GETS MORE MILEAGE with current diesel :)

hybrid petrol-electric.
Phoien your local Toyota UK dealer they've all got one demonstrator and you can get out in it for a test drive. It's worth giving up the 30 mins to experience it and to start thinking about pollution and saving the environment :)

i'm sorry I only can keep up with the AMERICAN automotive world and the prius is the most fuel efficant car over here, In the US The prius is the ONLY cqar that can reach 55 MPG, because in the US, hell. we are tthe Gas hogs of the earth. :(
