Hello fellow forum browsers.
We all love cars, otherwise we wouldn't be posting and sharing our thoughts about them on the forums. People who love cars, often drive nice cars aswell. So there is this particular part of the ucp.com forum for. If you own a car, make a thread called Nickname's Ride, and post all pics and info in it, if you updated the looks of your car, just add stuff! You'll always get feedback, and thats always nice to hear about your own modded/classic/sports/family car. Users who wanna see your car, can just go to search and type youre nickname, and voila its as easy as that!

I'll start with my recently acquired beauty

PorscheNut, I am very impressed. I especially like the new taillight conversion! All in all, I'd say that all the exterior work is clean and tasteful. Congratulations on an excellent job. Be careful with your top speed test ;) Oh wait... by now you should have done it already! So... how did it go?

Just out of curiosity, do you know of any supercharger kits for non-VR6 Corrados?

Roy Visser
05-01-2003, 05:30 AM
Topspeed test went pretty well, was a bit crowded to go to the limit, but i got over 220kmh on the speedometer, while my tires are alot bigger then the standard 15inch ones, should be around 230+ reall kmh

there are supercharger kits for non vr6's, there have been 16V G60 conversions, but i'd rather have the must safer and better working Turbo :)

I should say I'm an admirer of the Corrado. We had only 2 corrados in Syria back in 1994.One of them ,a VR6,belonged to a person who lives nearby.
It was an eye catcher.I used to stare at it whenever it came by me!!:D Accept my compliments for this really special car.
P.S:I wonder why VW stopped producing this beauty. If any one has any information about this I'll be glad to be informed.

mmmm.... Corrado!

look at my name: It was going to Township Rebellion, as that's my tag everywhere else... but look and think.

An SLC is in the cards for me down the road, that's all I can say. I can't, however, say I've ever seen a modded Corrado I liked. every last one of them looks cheesy and ruins the original work. however, PorscheNut's ride is reasonably tasteful and is not quite as offending as others I've seen, so kudos.

^^^Yes, I did notice the date, but forum activity is so slow, and I like corrados so I wanted to add my 2 cents. sheesh.

I wanted to note that Volkswagen stopped producing the Corrado due to financial reasons. It wasn't selling well, so they axed it. It's sad, so many idiots thought the the car was ugly, or inferior to the Acura Integra/ Toyota Celica. *sighs*

I sincerly appologise for reviving yet another dead thread, but I would love a Corrado VR6 when I'm able to drive legally, and those alloys are awesome, I was wondering if anyone could tell me weather they're still available and if they are in the UK..?

I've always thought the Corrado was one of the most attractive cars VW ever produced, and with a little tastefully executed work, as you've done, they're showstoppers. Great car, job well done.

Do you have any training/experience in engine work? Designing your own camshaft is awfully ambitious, and I wish you luck.

I wish I was Euro enough to understand wanting a car to scrape over thick road paint.
