I'm guessing you are talking of a VN V6?

When the Ecotec was introduced. I Think.

To get 285KW out of that without super/turbo Charging, your either having a laugh, or have turned insane.

There is no point, as the considerable cost would outweigh any percieved performance advantage.

And then you have to think about; is it road legal? can i get verification for it? will the car be able to handle it? what will my Insurance be? what will i need to change on the car to make this work? what will it cost?

If you can answer all of those and still think it's even possible, then go right ahead. I have no Idea how you would do it, though.

I belive an article in Street Commodores was dedicated to them building up a drag VP with a V6. Ill see if I can find the issue, it went over a few I think. It would be possible mechanically (anything is) but far more cost effective to got the huffer first.

I don't think it's the done thing to turbocharge a big aussie car, it's not cool. Oh wait, VL Calais, BA XR6 Turbo.......

Maybe he doesn't want to do it the easy way?

i personally would just go with either the 5L or the 5.7L V8 if your after those figures. the engines 152kw in a VY, in a VN its closer to 130kw so your looking at a 100% increase in power from natural aspiration

I had seen in a book, This VN had V6 at 250kw and that was big time worked.

well 250kw is the usual figure quoted for a SOHC ford six with a mild turbo installation, and people have said belt upgrads on the supercharged V6 get over 200kw
