I'm back from my two-week camping trip, so I'm resuming my postition in this forum. A huge thanks goes out to Matra et Alpine for filling in while I was gone. Thanks Peter.

Good luck this week :)

"What is it?" is on a moderated-post system. After you post, it will not appear on this page until the week is over.

IMPORTANT: Please, just guess what you think the car is. Try to avoid external research, etc. because it will ruin the nature of the game. There is really no way to enforce this, so it will be on an honour system. Besides, there will be no prizes other than the huge respect that you will gain from the other users :)

Volkswagen 1500 (may offered with a 1600 engine in the USA) or even called 1500 S. The European version was the 1500 and the 1500 S, which had a slightly larger rear lights. It was a problemaric car because it was the first VW that could not be driven full throtlle on long motorway rides. They were lots of broken engines, because many people still did that.
