Mercedes E55 AMG - V.S. - BMW M5

According to most car magazine reviews, the M5 is the better car especially in the sports department. I personally prefer the Benz for its styling, power and simply coz im a big fan of the three pointed star !!

No point starting a poll if you are just going to disagree with everyone who voices opposing opinion. I go for the BMW, I prefer the styling and road manners, even though it is not as quick.

I'd have to pick the Benz, but the new M5 is supposed to be absolutely vicious. Can't wait to see what it can do.

If you read my post, I said "I could expand my opinion vastly". I was going to mention some BMW technologies and styling, etc. But in the end, I do like the M5 better. I just don't really feel like writing an essay on why right now :)

In the 6 or 7 car magazine comparison tests I 've read so far, even the old & outgoing M5 beat the brand new E55 in at least half of the reviews, with the Audi RS6 winning most of them. M5 is the ultimate driver's car & sports sedan no question about it, & is the only car in this class with a manual transmission. The new V10 M5 would be even more awesome.

However I do prefer the styling of the new E class. I don't like the designs of the new BMW's.

maybe M5 is better than the new E55(i think it isn't)but RS6 clear isn't better(RS6 is expensive and weak)

Im a big mercedes fan,and hate crap toys like SC430,EVO,SKYLINE,S2000(really crap)and more cars like 'em

If you r not a BMW fan Don t talk as if you know anything as far as i know BMW M% has been the fastest car with 4 doors for 5 years untill this year .But don t think that M5 was in the past it is coming back to show you people how talk about it>

I think that BMW m5 is a dream car my couz had one when once he took me with him he had an BMW M5 hamann
I was soo scared it was a nice experiance for me you would have to go and try it and see what it is like:D

when the new m5 comes out it will more of a better comparison to the amg than the current m5 the new m5 will have a 500 hp v10 under the bonnet mmmmmmmmmm

I prefer the E 55 amg. The new M5 is supposed to be great, but we aren't talking about the future, we're talking about the present, and the E 55 is just better. How is the M5 sportier? The E 55 is faster! A thats what sports sedans are about, speed.
Also, I wouldn't pick cars based on car magazine reviews.
