The only road vehicle that I can think of that was supposed to be able to 350 mph was the Dodge Tomahawk motorcycle, but I'm stumped on a car that could that speed.

08-29-2004, 12:23 PM
I know the 1st car to reach 350mph was the Railton but street car? I never knew a street car was capable of 350mph!

Edit : Railton mobil Special to be precise

no I read in a magazine about a street car prptotype that can do 350 MPH!! I was shocked when I forst saw it.

:Exige:

Moller M400 skycar can do 350mph but only in the air ... but thats not really a street car because its not road legal and the only time its on the street is when you land on one

Karrmann
08-29-2004, 01:09 PM

lithuanianmafia
08-30-2004, 09:51 AM
the supercar concept from Popular Science magazine?

btw, it isn't "real", it's a study to show how a car could reach that speed

Karrmann
08-30-2004, 09:59 AM
yes that one.

byronleehk
08-30-2004, 10:02 AM
A concept is not 'normal' because it's not in production yet and may never be produced. And any street legal 'normal' car that can reach 350mph must be insane. I've never heard of one

It's a Buick but I have to check the references for the exact name. It was presented at the end of the thirties. Harvey Earl kept using it as his private means of transport for a while.

Yes there was, that little office in the corner of the shed beside production with the old guy with a drawing board and paper and pencil !!!!!

Difference then was they just got on with the job, not now where they want to be 'stars' :)

I don't know what it is but I am sure it puts you in a sort of mental conflict. Is a hybrid SUV acceptable or is it still a SUV :)
