The Lamborghini Diablo SE30 'Christian Lassen'.

In 1994 Automobili Lamborghini SpA released the Diablo SE30 edition, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the founding of the company in Sant'Agata by the late Ferruccio Lamborghini, this was also the oportunity to introduce a new color ... 30th Anniv.Lavendar, a very nice purple metalllic shade, which was ordered on several of these limited edition Diablo's ... and later on some other variants too.
One of the 150 units that were built, only 25 were destined for US customers by the way, was owned by Christian Reese Lassen who had the car registered in Hawaii.
The Diablo SE30 is a rare car on it's own, but the 'Christian Lassen' special became unique ... because of a US $ 250,000 paintjob, without counting the purchase price of the car !
Mr Lassen painted a total of six cars, two of these were Lamborghini's, this unique Diablo SE model and a black Diablo. The latter received a jumping cheetah on the side, a very nice car by the way, a little less extravagant when compared to this purple masterpiece.

The Diablo SE seen on this page was finished in the new Lavendar metallic paint and received a white leather interior with black accents, it is noteworthy however that most SE's that were ordered by US customers received a leather interior, while the European SE's finished in this purple shade mostly were ordered with an alcantara interior in a fresh blue shade.
The unique Diablo SE, nr 28/150, actually only covered a little over 3000 Km before February 2004, and it has been offered for sale on eBay.com ... probably some collector could add this work of art (literally) to his collection, combining the rare status of the Diablo SE with the unique paintwork of artist Christian Lassen.

Sorry, only one picture of the black Diablo was found.
