Me and my Dad have recentley rescued a sailing boat from a mates back yard. The top cover was completely rotten, and the inside was full of water, the bottom is fibre glass, the top is wooden. I have the main sail, the jib, but i need a spinker. I have the mast and the boom, and the helm, centre board and rudder in very good condition. The frame seems to be in good condition too. Ive removed the top deck panels and replaced them with my own cutting skills! Ive had to pin them down with Evostick glue and silikone. Everything has to be water resistant, other wise i will sink ( but that would be funny ).
My dad has a list of other boats ranging from little Mirrors, to Enterprises, then a speed boat, and my Uncle has a big luxury yatch in Turkey.
I have sailed on Winderemere, coniston, and various sailing clubs.
Here are some pictures i took, in different stages.
I didnt know which forum to put this in, either users rides, This or Misc.
Im working on this today, so ill show you more pics in a bit. :)
Is this the biggest model on Ucp?
