1999 Mustang Saleen for sale, starting bid US $105,000

Let me get that straight:

-1999
-Ford Mustang Saleen
-Altezza lights
-Awful color
-14,000 Miles
-US $105,000

I don't care how special it is or the small amount of them that were built, it is still a Mustang!. What's wrong with a Mustang? Absolutely nothing, just that it isn't worth that amount.

Altezza's should depreciate the value of that car. New it was only worth ~$55,000. And that paint is awful. Chrome illusion belongs on Jeff Gordon's special The Winston race car only. There's nothing (extra)special about that Saleen. $35,000 tops.

well apart from the fact that its got one hell of a meaty tune up in the engine department....

You won't believe this, but you are probably paying mostly for the paint job. Over $200 (USD) a quart, and that was from House of Kolor!! Dupont would be more expensive.

EDIT: PINT, not quart! Brain fade at 1:02am.

meaty tune up or not it doesnt add 65k to the price, i know guys whove spent 10 of thousands on their cars and can only sell it for 10k more max than normal market value.

This vehicle was manufactured on August 10, 1999 by Saleen Performance in Irvine Ca. This car was the one and only BASF Extreme Rainbow S-281 produced in the year of 1999. Since 1997 when the extreme rainbow color was introduced there have only been 4 extreme rainbow S-281’s produced, with a total number of 7 extreme rainbow Saleen’s ever, one being a SR race car, one S-351, and one S-281 E for the total of 7. Saleen # 99-0334, the one listed here, was optioned with Dark Charcoal interior, factory Saleen supercharger system including the twin gauge pod, 13in. front brakes, composite Saleen hood, 3.08 rear differential, and also has the 18x10in chrome wheel upgrade. Another interesting fact about this car is that this is the car that BASF used to demonstrate their paint in a television commercial and some print ads.

It does say this colour came stock, and its very rare. That would bump up price. But not to 105,000 bucks. Absolutely ridiculous. Change Stock Lights, but not to Altezzas, maybe one of those more subtle changes you can get.

No, just a description of the tail lights. They look like the Japanese Toyota Altezza lights.
