Everytime someone has a problem with IE, spyware, crashing, etc, I feel that it is my duty to tell them to download Mozilla. It's just so much better :) The best part is definitely using the tab features to open up all the UCP new posts in advance, and then browse through them without having to constantly go back and forth!

“I suggest dumping Microsoft's Internet Explorer, which has a history of security breaches. I recommend instead using Mozilla Firefox. It’s not only more secure but also more modern and advanced, with tabbed browsing and a better pop-up ad blocker.”

I tried Mozilla, I didn't like it.

Try this, to give Mozilla one shot, and if you don't like it, then you can do whatever you want.

1. Download/install Mozilla
2. Open it
3. Go to http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum/
4. Log In
5. Click "new posts"
6. Hold down the control key and click each one of the threads that you are interested in
7. Close the tabs as you go with the red x in the top right corner.

Give it a shot :). If it doesn't suit you, then at least you can say that you tried :). By the way, let me know if anyone actually tries that :D

I gave up on Netscape afta i posted, i am running Mozilla now. Netscape did the whole tabbed thing too but mozilla sounds better than netscape.

or use explorer and press Shift instead of Control in step 6

and it's closing the WINDOWS with the red X as you go

:)

The only plus is the less items on the Windows bar - but traded for the multiple tabs in Moz so it all about evens out :)

I use Firefox.

It is about 2x the speed of IE loading pages.

When you manage to find a page that isn't compatable, there is a handy extension in my right click menu "View this page in IE".

There is also a multitude of other useful extensions you can add.

all i can say to all of you is opera is the way to go. proven to be the fastest windows browser available. and with loads of usefull features. i had mozilla before opera, and you can tell why it's open source...

a page with LOTS of images, possibly firefox has a faster renderer.
But a whole web page is cache.
Browsers are twiddling their thumbs waiting on data :)

Open is a good feature until there are enough users around to warrant a DoS development and then that openness will be exploited. Whilst FF is a minority novelty it's safe.
Just be careful out there :)
