That Murcielago Barchetta looks great, but I think most people would look like Plonkers driving one. (Unless you were a girl) If you were older, it would be mid life crisis, younger it would be daddys car syndrome. So the R-GT for me, i'd have it as a track car.

Yes the Murcielago is available in Roadster (http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/frame.php?file=car.php&carnum=1920) form.
I quite like the standard Murky, and I think the R-GT would be a bit extravagant for track-day use only.

karrmann, have you been living in a cage for the past few months? thats what most magazines have been talking about for a while, the roadster is OK, but the R-GT just is AWESOME, thats carbon fibre isnt it?

in the pics he posted the GT looks like a street car, maybe they made a street version?

No, there isn't a "road going" or "street" version of the R-GT made by Lamborghini.

normal murcielago. Its a car meant to make big noise and look outrageous on the road( while also boasting a HUGE top speed), and its NOT a track animal. Gimme a normal murcie any day.

I voted for roadster because it's even sexier than the normal Murciélago

Why are you guys all picking the GTR? I understand it can go fast around a track, but so can the roadster. Plus... as if the the murcielago isnt impractical enough, in the GTR thats all you can do.

What makes the Radster go faster? Surely with the strength of the roof gone, Lamborghini made it heavier.....

it has more carbonfibre than the coupe, to keep up with it :)

none of the murcielagos are made out of carbon fiber, its only the body panels which are carbon. the chasis is all tubes, you could make it in your garage. I have seen the R-GT close up without the body work, there is practically no car. the two running in the ALMS crashed into each other coming into a chicane right where i was sitting, and latter i was in the garage and saw the two cars , one with the front panels removed, the other with the rear apart. i voted for the R-GT but i also think this isnt a relative comparisson. you might as well ask if you like the Enzo or the F2003 formula 1 car more. you can buy either one but only one is for the street.
