300, Its very nice and roomy (about the same as a caddy deville) and i prefer the styling of it too.

I like them both, but the Chrysler is just one awesome machine . Big Hemi, mean agressive looks, big chrome rims, a truly American (in a good way) car.

i like the 300 because it looks better, tho it may seem boxy, and it has a hemi. the 500 looks like a mix between the passat and phaeton by VW.

The 300 looks more agressive and has muscle. I have seen one up close and it is very nice indeed. The 500 looks like a mutated Focus and I HATE the Focus.

I'm torn on this poll, I really prefer the looks (interior and exterior) of the Chrysler, yet the fact that it is a Chrysler and Chrysler has been building absolute crap - except for their trucks - for the last 15 or so yrs.

I chose to voice an opinion, but not to vote. :)

Chrysler has been building absolute crapDodge Caravan: best selling vehicle for 2003 in Canada (YES, over civic, corolla, focus, everything)

PT Cruiser: Wheels' and AJAC's Midsized car of the year

Chrysler Intrepid: most of Ontario's police forces have adopted the Intrepid

I love the 300!! the 300 is really a re-cladded, re-engined Mercedes. Has anyone been in a 500? It's cheap. Whereas, of course, the 300c is much better looking and feeling. I go for the 300. (not to mention a 300 could smoke a 500 on a race course).

Have you had the misfortune of owning any of the newer Chryslers?

Check out this thread http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5711, if you like I could save you the trouble, I had a '96 Voyager it went thru 5 transmissions in 4 yrs and that was far from all the trouble i had with it, I have posted other related problems with it, tho I cannot seem to find them right now :o

The PT cruiser is a nice looking body built on a Neon drivetrain, again notorious for drivetrain issues, and although their are quite a few Intrepids, MOST of Ontario's police forces are using the Chevy Impala. :)

oh god NoOne I feel the exact same, ever since dodge stopped making K cars their cars have been crap, I own a 98 Caravan and it ALWAYS is breaking down, hell, only 3 years after I bought it it was leaking oil

so I believe that the Drips Oil Drops Grease Everywhere saying is completely true

NoOne, my dad has a 2000 Chrysler 300M (which I think is ugly) but has never needed it serviced, and my mom has a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which is in the shop all the time, but only because of the brakes.

I chose the 300 because it looks than the focus, I mean ford 500, and the fact that it has the hemi; however, the 300's hugeeeee amount of weight kinda makes up for it having a hemi.

I like the 300. upcoming SRT will have 425hp and a starting price of 40 grand. Nothing else (luxury car wise) even comes close.

300. front fascia is ugly, the rest is nice. i especially love the high beltline/low roof look. reminds me slightly of the '49 mercury/ford/lincolns and of course the hudson hornets

These cars arent even comparable....Ones smaller than a Falcon, the others bigger...

I'd probably choose the 300 though for the RWD and V8

ok reality check guys, the chrysler starts with a boring v-6 and lists at a base of around 30k, with that equipment, a five hundred lists at 23k, add a hemi to the chrysler, or go SRT and it only gets worse. For basic transport, i'd take the ford.

yeah it's been bothering me too...it's apples-and-oranges

The 300 looks better even with the bargain-Bentley fascia, as the Ford has a Police cruiser/Taxi profile. The problem with the Ford is there are no engine choices, it's Ford's doitall 3.0 Duratec V6 making around 200Hp. The Chrysler entices with 3, including a large V8 and RWD. That combination with seal the deal for most enthusiasts. I give the nod to the Hemi 300 but wouldn't take either car, too many other desirable cars.

stopped by the Chrysler showroom & saw the 300C for the first time. all the big boxiness & ugliness that i saw in the pictures were gone & instead it looked large ,sleek & elegant car. the interior is very roomy & the controls setting felt like a german car. even the price is reasonabl. the 500 looks like a longer mondeo to me.
