We are loseing some bloody good players this year it going to take some time to find replacements, These are some of the first players to play with the storm hard to replace great players fast. Matty orford we made some sort of player out of him:) he is the most underrated HB but the footy show know how good he is and respect him:)


And the Storm Bulldogs game the reff was a shocker:( he robbed us any chance of being on level scores for the first half he was a shocker, But on the day we just wern't on the ball :(

Yes we won, banished the Lions by 40 points. For those who dont know, Port started in the SANFL in 1870 and has won 34 SANFL premierships. We joined the AFL in 1997 and now we have one of theirs. You might have guessed Im pretty happy with that.

Its called Rugby League, or NRL, which is big in Australia as well as AFL depending on where you live.

Rugby league and American football have some things in common, Both have same size pitch, Both cross the end zone (Try line) for max points, Only difference is Rugby league isn't slow, No throwing the ball forward thats (forward pass) Go back to go forward, Really there isn't much about the 2 that are similiar :)

And one time we got american footballers over here and in the change rooms after seeing a few vids whetre expecting to suit up (bloody body armour they wear in american football....i should consider some if i ever have to go through redfern....) there was hardly any on offer the wouldent go out onto the field.....i was quite shocked...american football is quite viciuos alot of the things they are alloud to do on the field is illegal here....

Manuka Oval hosts some Roos games every year with a deal they have on, the local gov spent heaps on revamping it and stuff, the ovals pretty nice and the change rooms and everything for the players is nice (ive played on it an used the rooms)

It's realy a big differnce to galic football, They dont have many rules they have a soccer net, they dont takle no marks no holding the ball they throw the ball and have a goalie, and goals can be scored of any part of the body, The pitch is a soccer pitch,
Less players on field, they do bounce the ball but after a second bounce they do a solo wich is throw the ball to your foot kick it back into your hands, And they have penilty shots like soccer, And no centre bounce with ruckman or throw in's, And you cant dive on the ball once it is on the ground, it's fast but differnt :)

When we play the international rules game they ad some things for us, But really it's there game we play and the only reason we have a chance of winning is fitness and they are highly skilled blokes they come around to the game fast, But the irish have speed on there side and they move fast, But we hit hard lol.
All they did was ad point post, marks, tackling, bounce at the start of the quaters and after a goal, The rest is there game there ground there ball there goals,
So there advantages are speed, round ball, there ground size, they know how to kick a round ball around, our advantages are strength, fitness, agression, Proffesionalism ?, tackling :)

well the rain made it interesting at least. people were talking about that field goal coming back later to benefit them and in a way it did, it put the pressure on the dogs, but it didnt win them the game. perhaps if they were the 4 points down, the dogs wouldve thought "hey, if they score, at least it goes into overtime"

pretty good though how towards the end, the roosters pushed back the scrum to get the ball back, you dont see that too often
