If you remember the thread on the CAPA Terror-Tory, theyve already take it down the strip and gotten some times..

I wonder if APS will play around with one of their XR6T kits on the Territory

A flat 13 and possible 12's isnt that bad for a territory!

I'd be interested to see how the times would change once the XR 17's are replaced with a set of 20's with low profile tyres.....probably gunna be a bit slower i'd say from the extra rolling diameter. thats with a 400kw engine as well though, so i'll have to check how it compares to the likes of a Porsche Carrera S with the twin turbo engine

Its quicker than a Cayenne Turbo

I wonder if this'll influence FPV even more to develop their version of the Territory

An FPV territory would be LEET! mmmmm A territory with a BOSS engine and a bonnet bulge even? Then FPV interior. I wonder what they would call it? FPV habitat or Terrain or something LOL :P

They'd more than likely stick the Typhoon engine in with an upgraded radiator..

Id prefer a BOSS engine, but thats just me

Yeah, me too, but unless Ford want to cut away at the guards, its too dangerous to fit the BOSS in the Territory's engine bay. At least we know it fits now though......

Among the Territory, I think FPV should also invest in an FPV Fairmont/Fairlane to knock the grange/Senator of its perch. I Liked the Galaxie 540, it looked mean while still holding a luxury look, I wouldve liked to see it go into production.

Well FPV would have the sales figures of the T3 TL50 on their minds, i think they sold 3! What they came up with in the Galaxie540 was definately something good though, the normal Fairlanes probably fall down from their likeness to the Falcon, but it turned into a good thing for that concept.

heh they are probably still suffering from Trauma at how little they sold. I think they sold so little because they were overpriced, like I think they cost 100,000 or so, when you can buy a GTS for as much as that, which had 50kW more + more torque and I dont know how luxurious the TL50 really was.

They were about $75-80K if i remember right, the biggest problem was people just thought the AU Fairlane was downright ugly, i never really saw what was wrong with it. Infact, when i first saw the BA, i thought it looked alot like the AU Fairlane.....

I thought the TE50 cost like 60000, TS50 cost like 75000 and TL50 cost like 100000

When i first saw the BA the first thing i noticed was that the roof was the same as the AU and that the rear lights and front lights was something that the AU needed which wouldve made it look better.

I think when they were first released, the pricing was something like $60K, $70K and $77K, or it couldve been $50K, $60K and $66K as the XR8 at the time was under $45K still...

Still, selling 3!!!! Them TL50's are going to be WAY rare later on, infact considering i believe the T series will become collectors Items, TL50 will be worth...well alot of money thats for sure.

Yeah, thats for sure. People will look at the combined sales though, of the T1, T2 and T3 TL50, which might be a bit closer to 100, so i think the Phase4 and EBSS are still the rarest Falcons

Colty

Was there a T1 T-series and T2 TL50?

fpv_gtho

Yep....T3 was by far had the biggest change, not only with the significant exterior upgrade and 5.6L engine, but Ford introduced the Pursuit 250

Colty

The T3 looks way better then the t2 and t1

T1 and T2 weren't specifically designed to compete with HSV in a straight line, Tickford wanted to make a better "driving" car, and perhaps something to steal buyers away from the likes of an E320 or 530i
