OK, an engineering approach to the smilies issue ....
Before answering this question please do NOT go searchign for smilies, answer it as true feelings......
Q: List the emotions you want to have a smilie for, against each list why words aren't sufficient.
Answers ?????
ME -
Smile - to show I'm being mildly funny as the text could be misinterprated.
Big smile - to emphasise it's a joke as the text is offensive/annoying
embarrassed - aplogising for some cock-up
confused - Dont' understand a comment and my text should explain which bits
anger - words wont' get it over as strongly
shock - to convey how amazed I am, combine it with smile or anger to emphasise
So UCP already has 6 more than I need :) They're "ricer smilies" :)

I wouldn't mind a smiley banging head against wall, for a stupid mistake or something.....
Or one of those ones where lil smiley pulls out flag and it says BS (Bullshit) Which would be good for as long as Karrmann is around! Jokes man :D

Since the suggestion, I don't see many of the "we want more smileys" supporters actually writing down what smiley they need.
I'm becoming MORE convinced it's a "ricer thing" - like 4" cans and wings on Honda Civics. They dont' add anything except making the owner look stupid :)
So, come on guys, if you really think it's a good idea give a list of what you need - not what you saw on another site and wanted just coz "it looks good" !!

WHY take up so much screen space with bling-bling ???
Remember that not everyoen is on high-speed network connections. So lots of smileys and big smileys would make loading a thread a nightmare if it was full of them.

Maybe the wise-old-man, headbanger and a yawn smiley but please no morbid, nasty, or otherwise tasteless ones. Paaleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezz!!!!! Also a begging smiley, would have been useful here.

I agree, those death ones were somewhat disturbing.
I would suggest something along the lines of a "Relieved" smiley.

2) the ROFL one off Yahoo! IM (that is great!)
3) crying
4) the tossing smilie (for when insults just aren't enough!)
5) an exploding smilie (to show how dumb the other person is and that you can explode with frustration!)

Some are too lazy (like me :D) to be bothered with finding them, then uploading them, and then clicking more than you'd need to if there were some extras in the sidebar! :D
