Despite myself, I've become more interested lately in the classic British Fords. Specifically, I'm interested in the Anglias, as well as all Cortinas through the MK.III (esp. Twin Cams), Escorts through 1980 (esp. the Twin Cam models), Fiestas through 1983, and the early Capri models. Anyone know a good place where I can find more info on these?

Thanks...neat pics and some more history. Anyone know maybe some fansite or somehting? You know, like Mustangs have Stangnet and Cadillacs have The New Cadillac Index? I have't turned up anything yet...

There is a mag JUST for YOU :)

Some wallpaper to at http://www.classicfordmag.co.uk/

http://www.classic-fords.co.uk/ has loads of good pics http://www.classic-fords.co.uk/photo_065.jpg

and there are DOZENS of model sites dedicated to each of them here in the UK and lots of clubs - most accept overseas members too :) Do a google on "classic ford uk" and you'll find hundreds. Add the model name and you'll get the specialised ones - some can even be to ONE specific version Anglia 105E ? http://www.fordanglia105eownersclub.co.uk/.

LOTS of Fords still on the roads and tracks competing over here :)

Ive got an edition of Ford Performance Mag and in the NZ section, theyve got a bit of a write up on this Capri with the 2.6L V6, apparently there was only 2 or something made...it had some racing heritage but i cant quite remember it now. The owner of this particular one had bored the engine out to 2995cc so it was making about 330-350hp, so it went like a bullet in the ~950kg body
