This should be attached to the "Which Cars Should Never Have Been Built" thread .... but I honestly believe these bastardized monstrosities are in a class by themselves.

I see these pics and I can't help but wonder what the designers and manufacturers were thinking/smoking at the time.

I'll start of with the Reliant Robin, which I believe had a production run of over 25 yrs  ....can't understand that for the life of me .....

The T-Rex is kinda cool, but I think of it as a modified motorcyle and not as a three wheeled car :)

actually most Isetta's came with four wheels (two rear very close together) and the four wheel Messerschmidt Tiger is regarded as on of the best roadholding vehicles.

Let's go back in history with this one, those old enough to remember Peter Sellers starring in the Party as Hrundi V. Baksheesh will recognise the car.

Welcome to the forum. :)

As stated earlier in this thread the T Rex is more of a modified motorcycle than an actual 3 wheeled car. They are quick though, if possible take pictures and post in the "Users Rides" section.

I guess a car can be so uncool that it would achieve a cult like following and through that it would achieve coolness ... if thats the case maybe there is even hope for me ...lol

The Peel is ridiculous. I laughed at its pathetic size in a museum.

The Peel is the smallest car ever, and the only car built on the Isle of Man.
The reason why the Robin lasted so long was that it could be driven with a motorcycle licence (in Britain, easier to get than a car licence). When they made a 4-wheel version (the Kitten), it flopped.
And for 3-wheelers, how about this. an 1885 Benz, the first car ever built. Don't knock 3-wheelers, they were here first.http://www.autogallery.org.ru/k/b/885bz3_4HP2seaterTricycle_BRO.jpg

Grinnals are net too.
Keep an eye open for a new one.
He was on the BMW stand at the Autpsort show and had 3 guys measuring the new BMW sportsbike engine and transmission.
THAT will make for an even faster Scorpion :)

1960 Isetta

It's kinda...cute I guess, but I'd hate to have an accident in that thing. Specially a head on collision, I don't think it would do very well:eek:
