I have recently been organising my picture collection and found a number of older US cars which I am unable to identify. If possible if anybosy knows, name, type, and year of build that would be great

Isn't it amazing that, at one time, cars that graceful came from the States? What happened?

FOCUS GROUPS.

Companies inability to have the courage of their OWN xonvictions to deliver real design to the people. Instead the bean-counters and anal-marketeers dont' want to ship ANYTHING unless it is first tested and scored and any negative comments responded to by change in design. So it all ends up bland, because only bland draws no negative comments !!

The one thing you HAVE to give to the French auto industry is that they still believe in themselves to know what's best for us. It might not always work, but at least it isnt' boring - anyone driven the C2 Pluriel yet ? WEIRD :)

Red Ford is from 1940, not too sure abot the type. A similar car in my picture collection is labeled as Ford DeLuxe convertible.

Cheers!

Yellow Ford is from 1938. There are 2 doors, so just call it 1938 Ford Tudor :)

Cheers!

Third picture in the first post is 1939 Buick. You can easily identify it by its ugly nose. No idea about the type though. Maybe Roadmaster?

Fourth picture in the first post is 1933 Chrysler Imperial.

Cheers!

That one looks like an '32 Essex, but I'm not 100% sure...but about 98% sure. The leading edge of the front fenders, the reverse monted doord (that open to the back), the grille, and the small lights between the door and the cowl/front fender area all look like the '32 Essex.
