This is the Tamiya kit with some etched and machined alum parts added. I chose the road car livery.

Yes there are civil versions of it like in picture:

Yours is a mixture of the racing car and the street version (only one was built). I would call it a test car ;)

Dino, you should also build the "fullview" version with upgraded detail parts all over. That will be awsome ;)

Yes, I do that a lot these days because I'm into quantity more than detail...time is at a premium.
