If anyone is interested, I have a 3000x ???? pixels version of it :) Way too large to upload though :o
Resize it. :)
Open it in MS Paint > Ctrl+W > resize the Horizontal and Vertical by the same amount. Even a little smaller will make it a much smaller file.
Wonderful achievement. As Canuck said I can't wait to see how much torque this baby puts out, the Boxer-4 in the WRX STi put out about 300 lb-ft running on gasoline so I guess the number can be significantly boosted. Does WRC regulations allow this kind of engine? It would be fun to see.
a marketing gag, just to show that a boxer diesel is also possible.

There's been a factory twin turbo, so I see why not. The EJ20TT.

Are they a sequential or biturbo setup?
Are they a sequential or biturbo setup?
both options exist AFAIK, BMW does it sequentially, PSA like a biturbo, and I think VW is also working along those lines.
What would be interesting about the boxer diesel is probably the sound, but whether it will a similar audible drum as in the petrol versions remains to be seen, given the other inherent diesel noises.
