Sounds like it might be time for Nissan to go with plan B...
That's hilarious!
Thanks for the updates guys, school is still super busy.
Not to say that Nissan doesn't have experience, but it is their first year, and there are more established cars out there.
By the way, is the SCG 003 racing at Le Mans? I haven't heard anything about that car in a long while.
-
No, the SCG raced at the 24h of Nurburgring and, AFAIK, isn't homologated in any of the ACO/FIA classes which prevents it from entering in any ACO/FIA-sanctioned events.

I thought there was a special garage for experimental cars. Oh well.
-
There is a special garage, it's invite only. SCG wasn't invited, any know what's in there this year?

The Garage 56 is open to those with alternative propulsion systems (full electric for example) or those who take an innovative concept to the race track (like the Deltawing). The SCG car has none fo those things.
Apparently BMW wants to enter a car in Garage 56 powered by hydrogen next year.
By the way, in about 3 hours the race will start. :)

Porsche is on fire!
(Literally, the #92)
Safety car out.
-
Unusual for a Porsche GT car to go pop. Shame for the other two guys coming together on the oil.
-
-
Seems like Audi has the upper hand as the tyres degrade.
But Porsche is back in the lead.
-
A few whoopdewoos on the oil patch now.. you'd think they might've learnt after the first one.
-
LMP2s are crashing and spinning all over the place...
-
Audi back in front again, missed that move.
-
Nissans are nowhere, by the way, even behind the LMP2s.
Audi has dropped into the 3:18s, it seems like they can really go fast.
-
They are flipping strong racers. Also they seem to be quad-stinting on the first tyres when everyone else is doing triples.. though not all the Porsches have been in yet.
Re: the Nissans: See my earlier post. :) The Toyotas are disappointingly nowhere, hope they get some budget for the programme. Would have been good to have had three different teams up front.
-
.. in saying that, an Audi is back in after three laps for a full service. Clearly quad-stinting on the tyres was an unusually terrible idea.
Edit: was a puncture, officially.
