Alright there are more threads on Z06vette.com about roofs and also there are endless other problems such as brakes cracking, clutch pedal sticking, rear end chatter, CV joint failures, spun bearings etc. List goes on and on. I also love this car, but if they dont fix these problems I think more corvette owners will move on to other cars.

spun bearings:eek: .i'll take the viper over it any day.
They outsourced the glue used for the fiberglass roof, its the quality of the glue, not the car.
If Chevrolet decided to use cheap glue then there goes their quality. Period.

Thats just the outer shell not the roof structure, you can see the supports after he rips the fiberglass off. ;)

Thats just the pannel. The C6 Convertable's windshield is strong enough to support the whole cars weight if it were to flip.

Yeah, I guess just like how Porsche exhaust tips fall off, so the whole car and rest of the line up are no longer high quality right?
Do you have the numbers on that By the way, or any proof that it is a recurring event?
A roof is, as a general rule, something you want stuck down. it's sloppy that it wasn't done properly.

Exhaust Tip (a Recognised and fixed problem, no less) > Your roof falling off because of outsourced adhesive?
Dream on.

The roof problem is fixed now, like I said there is a recall. Now stop being a fanboy.

Fanboy, Moi?
Pot calling kettle somewhat.
Regardless, It's good that a recall has taken place, and the problem has been acknowledged. it's the best business practice.
Along with the problems they are having on the Z06, any of you think they will have the same types of issues with the new super vette coming out labeled many things (SS, stingray, Z07, Blue Devil) or will they have worked out all the problems?
