Isn't she a beauty?

For sheer machismo and bravado looks, I would have to say the 1969 Mustang Mach 1, which to this day, is my all-time favorite automobile.
However, if one was to ask for classic American luxury than I will choose the 1970 Caddy Eldorado. To my taste, it was the last good-looking Cadillac with panache, with the 1971 being a very close second.
I always wanted to get another one, but, this Hot Wheels model was my first, and if I were to ever own the 'real deal,' then it would have to look very much like this one, even though the one I had in mind, had the wild engine poking through the hood complete with ‘zoomie’ (dragster) style exhaust, remember? Insane!
Amazing classic cars...nice pics Billclark. That's fantastic.:)
I'm very partial to the Lotus Esprit having owned five of them over a number of years. In pseudo order of production.
White S1 (The original Bond Esprit)
Silver S2
Turbo Esprit (Bond skis not an option)
White SE
Burgundy S4
Blue S4s
Feff
And finally for good measure. The Esprit V8 :D

Haven't been on here in quite a while, surprised to find this thread still alive and kicking. What say we finally get to some voting? It's only been what, near 14 months in the making? :p
Hope all the usual folk are doing well.

What better way to get a good discussion going than with a good old vote up on a subject always close to any self-respecting car nut's heart?
So here's the deal, everyone submit a candidate you consider the most beautiful automobile made to date, we tally up the candidates after say a week, create new threads with the entries listed in a poll, and everyone vote like crazy.
I suppose we must have a couple of rules for this game, so here they are:
- Only road-going vehicles that are or were for sale to the general public allowed for this particular contest - we can always cover non road-going cars later. In short, the car must be able to be driven on general public roads without the driver facing stiff fines or jailtime if pulled over by the authorities. Case in point: Pagani Zonda R not allowed, Porsche 911 GT1 roadcar allowed.
- Only one entry per poster.
- No concept cars.
- No 'tuned' cars.
Would be good if you could include a pic of your contender for use in the polls later on, together with any specs you can think of. Not necessary though.
So to kick things off, here's my entry, the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale:

And I know something like this has been done before, but not recently that I know of. Plus it's 2011, time for an update.
EDIT: And I forgot about the 800x600 image rule. All images to be no larger than 800x600.[/quote]
Nice car looking so pretty in red color .:)
Most of the cars posted here are vintage. This is great for collection! Good thing I saw this post.
I agree with ravendrake. Majority of the cars posted here are vintage, and awesome. But I would also add a few cars to the list I didn't see. To go along with the rally cars that are on the list, you could add the Ford RS200 and the Ford Escort Cosworth. And three supercars. The Ferrari F40 & F50 and the Porsche 959.
And how did I forget this beautiful car. The Jaguar XJ220.
Ferrari 250 GTO, beautiful and fast
People love the GTO's, I think they are kinda...average. I love Ferrari 2+2's from this era, but for this category I'd go for almost any Figoni + Falaschi bodied car, a Miura, or a Lincoln Continental MK.II.

The GTO is a much overrated car.
