Raise it and drop LMs.
Back of the car looks alright(tailpipes a little too wide for me), but somthing about the front just doesnt work for some reason.
thanks for the pix :)
all show, i wanna see how that performs on track and rides
whats with the obsession with the blued muffler tip anyhow?
he BBS doesn't work for it, it seems too new for such a lacy wheel, a R32 would look better on those wheels
The BBS wheels look too fussy, wheels like this would have been better I think, bodykit and ride height look good though

Never liked BBS to well...Needs Volks, Work, Gram-Lights, or something....I love how the GTR looks in black though....my fav color for that car...
strangely i like it.. and i am not a fan of the classic roadwheel design, BBS or otherwise.
doesn't look too bad... wheels are too elegant for such a fat whale of a car though.
The Blueish Muffler tip I find out of place, and the rims don't fit the car. Something simpler like charged suggested. Otherwise I find the rest of the car nice.
And f6 I find the front to be one of the finer points, but the picture doesn't show much of it..

The fat whales make good targa cars though:eek:
Clutch dont be bitter mate..... The GTR smashed all the cars not just Porkkas at the latest targa west event, you just have to accept it:)
charged I think those are the stock wheels just refinished in black(probably powder coated)....
I think other style of BBS might work better.....either the CH or whatever the last gen M3 CSL wheels are called...
Does this really require its own thread? why not just post it on one of the millions of skyline themed threads?
Raise it and drop LMs.
You're like the anti-Quiggs..

thats not what i mean. it just looks too damn fat to suit thin/delicate spoke wheels. needs something chunky
it's like putting whiteballz in ballerina shoes.
or me in a g string..........what:eek: need a smiley for vomitting
I think the BBS's suit. I dont know why you guys think they need to be simple wheels..

Thank you.
C'mon, we'd all hit/rock/do this in a heartbeat. Who are we kidding. :D

I wouldnt, exhaust pipes are too loose. ;)
whats with the obsession with the blued muffler tip anyhow?
Titanium pipes. Titanium blues when it gets heated.
Looks sweet in an almost mini Reveton kind of way
Titanium pipes. Titanium blues when it gets heated.
Thank you for bringing some sanity to this thread. I was about to have an aneurysm.
Raise it and drop LMs.
Fail.

This.

deleteme
Because of those BBS wheels, that GT-R now looks like it has been tuned by Edo Competition...
I like it's looks though...

I choose to be contrary.

yeah... i think im gonna leave it.
Buuuump!...
What is the term for the process used to make the exhaust tips blue?
I ask because some pictures of the Eagle Mk.1 show it having something similar, which I think nicely complements the Eagle's blue body.

Titanium's reaction to the heat from exhaust gases
edit: disregard this ^^
I would say it's annealing. The tips are rotated around a torch that brings the color out like that. The exhaust at the muffler shouldn't be hot enough to change the color of the titanium.

Thanks. I thought it was strange that the exhaust would be hotter, making the pipes bluer, at the very end. In the Eagle, IIRC, the pipes are blue much closer to the engine.
It actually is a styling effect. When Ti is welded, the heat creates a patina so its a way of demonstrating you've folked out for a Ti exhaust as opposed to stainless steel! The exhaust temperatures would never reach to 700 odd degrees needed for that heat staining on a roadcar.

The edges of the tips aren't welded though. See my post above...
wow that looks amazing!

What i mean is that the patina is almost a badge of honor showing that your exhaust is genuine Ti
Your point being?

That first pic just reminds me of Mitsi FTO for some reason...
Love the blue tip exhausts they look like the GTC Titan aftermarket jobbies, really fantastic exhaust made from space-craft grade Titanium, absolutely incredible bit of kit but pricey :)
You have to work very hard to ruin the looks of a GT-R..nobody has managed to do it yet
QN
I disagree, A fair few people have done a good job ruining it.
including nissan :p no but really, the wheels on the v-spec are terrible.
