DO WANT cars of 2008.
I'm looking for nominations. And nothing ridiculously stupid.
It doesn't have to be something the automotive press liked, but for God's sake, have some taste.
After the nominations close, there will be a poll.
I start the nominations with the Maserati GranTurismo.
edit: Concept cars and one-offs are not allowed.

Bmw x6
I though the title said Do WHAT not DO WANT
So i revoke my nomination
Bmw x6
When he said taste he meant good taste.
I say BMW M3.
-
Lamborghini Reventón
Alfa Romeo 8C Spider
Maserati GranTurismo S
Koenigsegg CCXR
Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport
Chevrolet Corvette ZR1
Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4
Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 Roadster
That's all I can think of right now. I have no idea which one I would rather have, I'll think about it and come back on this one.

The X6 is in good taste. It's a nice handling SUV (almost an oxymoron).
An example of bad taste would be like a Ford Flex.
-
No offence, but ss far as I can tell, the main purpose of the X6 is to show the world you're a tosser...
Ok, maybe a little offence..
I'll go Alfa 8C Coupe.

At least it's not a yanktank :p

I can't believe anybody would rather have an X6 over the car I listed, for example. I mean, come on...

+1 for the X-Bow as well. KTM = pure, unadulterated awesomeness.

Saw my first X6 last weekend and thought it was hideous. What a fat tank!
For (semi) affordable 'must have' fun on a realistic level, why not an FPV F6 .. or the distinctly affordable Ford XR6T or Holden SS?
-
Beside the already mentioned Alfa 8C both coupé and spider?
911 GT3
Ariel Atom V8
Cooper S
-
I second the FPV F6 and XR6T nominations, for something that is old,i also add the Miura.
-
Ariel Atom 500, kind of surprised no one has said the 430 Scuderia yet.

what they said
whod want the F430 Scuderia?
i want one. but not in red/yellow, minus the stripes and gold wheels though.
-
That's all I can think of right now. I have no idea which one I would rather have, I'll think about it and come back on this one.
I had a dream about me picking up Heidi Klum (no more details included) and it was in a white 8C Spider. So the 8C Spider is my choice.
/thread.
Yep, indeed.
whod want the F430 Scuderia?
I do. Black with anthracite stripes and wheels please.

You forgot the Fiat Abarth 500 esseesse
-
911 GT2
Scuderia
Koenigsegg CCXR
-
You forgot the Fiat Abarth 500 esseesse
I swear as soon as the Nuova 500 is available in North America I'm jumping on one. I'm unsure we'll get the Abarth models though...
And I can't wait for Alfa Romeo to re-enter the North American market.
-
You forgot the Fiat Abarth 500 esseesse
Fantastic car no doubt.
But the Alfa Romeo is the best looking contemporary car, it has a great V8 and above all it's an Alfa Romeo. Which means it so cool it could end with global warming.
Or something.
-
Yeahhh, Drakkie's Fiesta thanks.
No but really I like the Scuderia, no conventional colours though.

Probably you'd only get the Abarths because Fiat has a very negative image there and because for some reason you need very powerful cars even if you never exceed 55mph.

It's actually 62 in Canada :)
Or rather 100 km/h since we are cool enough to use the SI units. (Oh no not another SI units debate!)
I quite like low-powered cars, and with the current price of petrol I'd gladly drive something that gets great fuel economy. The Cobalt is dubbed an "econobox", yet 11-litre/100 km is as economical as it can get. My pockets don't exactly appreciate that.

Two words: Chevrolet and American.

That's incredible.
The Mini is better and at European speeds...
whod want the F430 Scuderia?
I do... That car is awesome...
It drives like what a Ferrari should be... It's just pure passion.
No carpets, no stereos, No satellite Navigation...
Nothing in the car to destract you of your job in the cockpit...
To drive, and drive, and drive...
For me... The Ferrari 430 Scuderia is even better than an Enzo...
I want one in Black with Red American Muscle car stripes (Not the Stock Stripes) and with modified doors so it would open like a butterfly-type or scissor-type door... I want to put wheels that looks sporty... And finally, i want to add a rear wing on it... Engine upgrades too (twin-superchargers or twin-turbochargers)... If you think the car might look horrible... I wasn't trying to make it pretty, I was trying to make it look more of a race-ready GT car...

i agree that the scud is awesome but butterfly/scissor doors and forced induction make no sense, since no 430 race car has either, it would be ugly, silly, and ruin the dynamics with the extra weight.
