2009 Goodwood dates announced
The provisional dates for 2009 have been announced. Either event is well worth a visit, but beware; visit once and you're hooked:

The 2009 Goodwood Festival of Speed will provisionally take place over the weekend of 3.4.5 July, subject to final confirmation very shortly. It will be the 17th running of the world’s largest celebration of motoring culture and promises to be packed with action and excitement as the planet’s most glamorous racing machinery and famous drivers gather together in the beautiful surroundings of Goodwood Park. The 2009 theme for this leading motor sport event is now being finalised and will be announced in the coming weeks.
For 2009 the unique Goodwood Revival will provisionally be held over the weekend of 18.19.20 September. The Revival is truly a magical step back in time and celebrates the halcyon days of motor racing as it used to be with all of the accompanying spectacle and glamour of the era. Competitors and spectators alike are dressed in period fashions with the finest sights and entertainment of the era for all to enjoy.
Both 2009 Goodwood motor sport events promise spectacular array of cars and motorcycles, plus fabulous star drivers and riders to thrill the crowds. As enthusiasts have come to expect from Goodwood, a series of further enhancements will be made for 2009, including a more flexible approach to grandstand seating with more roaming viewing available, plus improvements to the on-site camping facilities.

As in previous years, admission to both Goodwood motor sport events will be strictly by advance ticket only, with 2009 ticket sales commencing from 1st November 2008.
