Porsche Taycan 2020-
The Porsche Taycan is an all-electric 4-door coupé manufactured by German automobile manufacturer Porsche, which was first unveiled as a concept car named Mission E at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and then in production form at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show.
It is Porsche's first series production electric car, and is planned to be sold in several variants of different performance levels, and it could spawn derivatives in a future line-up of models based on its platform.
(This thread is designated for all Taycan versions)

The Turbo moniker is just silly.

The electrons are inducted by force.
Bam, turbo.

I still think all the electric car manufacturers should settle on a single standard charging port. It's just silly to have multiple charging standards and all they're hurting is themselves.

I am a child and have a bicycle saddle that says "Turbo" on it that I like, so I cannot, in good conscience, call this stupid. That said, this is stupid and Taycan is a stupid name, to boot.

I guess the only saving grace is that Porsche could have made another appliance on 4 wheels. Kudos to them for at least making it drive nicely.

I respected you...
Yeah, in all seriousness, it's frustrating when names become meaningless. If everything is an M, or M-Sport, or a Turbo, or an AMG, then nothing is any of those things.

Honestly I do not like that my car is an "M Performance" BMW. What does "M Performance" actually mean? I would prefer my engine with the looks of a standard 125i.
One funny thing is that when I asked for the debadge option the salesman balked at me saying that M Performance customers like to stand out.
What is an M Performance customer anyway?

It's probably best not to think about it.

This is definitely the start of a new trend of reusing old car names for electric vehicles. Porsche adding the Turbo moniker for the Taycan and Ford calling their new electric crossover the Mustang Mach-E.

I find it hilarious Bill Gates picked a Porsche over a Tesla.

Although I bet Bill loves Porsches, he did everything he could to put a license plate on a 959.
