we do strange things when we are young, isn't it? :)
Look who's back! :)
People try to be the king, but the ace is back!
How's the new car henk?

Some of my old posts are absolutely embarrassing, I sometimes can't believe I wrote some of that crap!
We've all grown a bit since we joined ;) Welcome back :)
Hey, I joined a couple months right after you!
We're both about to be 10 year members now. Scary, I know.
I wasn't all that mature back then either...
Yep I made some ordinary posts when I joined which I regret.
Then they made me a moderator which I’m sure they regret! :p
Wasn't I an independent/conservative (in the political discussions) back then? I'm as liberal as they come now... Everyone can change I guess.
Oh the boneheaded things I have said here...
You know, looking back, it's interesting how much I've changed in terms of interest in cars. I used to be a pure JDM fanboy- either it's Japanese or nothing for me. I'm still interested in Japanese cars, but I've embraced more diversity in cars. I care less about specs, horsepower and such and I'm become more interested in the history of marques and vintage cars.
It certainly helps to have a resource such as UCP and the forum members. Here's to another decade.
Sorry to re-open an old thread, however I fully agree with the original poster. I just re-read some of my old posts, some 10 years old now (!!). I am very glad I've grown-up a bit. My apologies for whatever I posted back then.
By the way, how have all you guys been?
I'm now a Automotive Engineer, worked for +/- 2,5 years at DAF Trucks as a production engineer introducing the new MX-11 + MX-13. Then spent about 1 year purposefully unemployed taking care of my parents (both unfortunately got cancer).
Now I am back in the game as a Testing Engineer working for TomTom at the next generation of PSA products. Basically I drive testcars all over Europe to test the built-in Navigation and CANbus functionality.
And still check up on UCP :)
drakkie, good to see you around man! I'm very sorry to hear about your parents though.
Things are quiet here, but some regulars still keep tabs on what is going on.
I'm in school to become a mechanical engineer; I may join you in the automotive field one day.

yeah right! that's okay.. no need to worry.. It's just normal and things change and its really good how you've grown up and change! welcome back! newbie here
I was a bad offender, pretty provincial in my tastes. My life has changed a lot and so have my proclivities...yeah, I apologize, too, for the dumb crap I've proffered as the gospel truth here.
