My new race car-
It's a 1970 mg midget,
It has:
rollbar, competition seat, racing harness, racing steering wheel, roll bar, 1275 cc engine, twin 1.25" SU carbs, competition cam, high performance starting coil, front racing lever shocks(modified spring), a little negative camber, rear tube shocks, lowered 3 inches, axle brace( so wheels dont shift out and rub on the fender), 13" minilite center knock-offs with 13" by 8" yokohama DOT slicks on them. I've put on a new header, and I'm modifying the straight exhaust that came with the car by puttingg a glass pack on it to keep the noise down. I also added the windshield, and needs to work on the wiring so the lights work. If i get another truck soon, my dad and I are planning racing it in a couple of weeks, after we make it street legal, we don't really need to truck to race it.

does the car have any competition history?
-
It has never been raced, the man who originally owned and who was going to race it, died, then it was sold in an estate sale to the man who I bought it from, he put some stuff on and only drove it around the lake that he lived on once. If i get a new truck or make it street legal, it will be raced on june 27th.

Looks good, it is the standard BMC engine, what sort of BHP do you think you have, about 90-100 or so?
-
-
Looks really nice, how much did you pay for it?
-
$2500, but i'm planning on putting around a grand into the car.

I'm not sure about the hp, there is a place that i can bring it to to get dynoed, once i get everything done to it that i want, i'll get it dynoed and i'll post it for you. But the stock bmc engine only had about 43 hp.

Are you sure, UCP's mini has the same engine, and does with 1 carb already 61. Aren't you not talking about the 1000 cc engine?

She looks lovely, all the best with her, a great choice too, the A series is a strong, dependable engine. Let us know how you get on!
