I think it's awesome.
definitely think you are in the minority there
i do think its silly, but i would prefer one over the saloon
It's a great looking wagon, it's got a V10. What's your problem boy?
If it isn't exciting (which it is, you're just wrong), how is it pointless? I'm sure plenty of people want the premium 5-series and the space of a wagon. M5 buyers aren't all sports car drivers. They need the size and space, which is what deterred them from a 6-series.
I think the "cool factor" of a super-quick station wagon is through the roof. But, then again, it is heavier, so you picks' your poison there.
If it came down to it, I'd take the saloon (sedan, whatever), but the wagon does have its allure.
yea i think it has the same cool draw to it as the audi wagons too, sporty, fast, practical, and fun. i don't see anything wrong with it, and i'd certainly take it over my subaru legacy
RS6 Plus > M5 Touring for cool factor.
Also, the new M5 is far too techy. So, I wouldn't want one.
You know, it is a little too techy. I'll stick to my old Subaru, a lumbering dinosaur of a thing compared to the latest voonvervagvenv, which don't bother their drivers with the awful task of switching their own gears; a task quickly becoming viewed with the same disdain as churning your own butter.

it's also slow. especially when corners are involved. i am curious how the RS6 compares to the M5 on anything resembling a race track, for comparison's sake.
Well if the M5 sedan now has a manual, it wouldn't take long for the wagon version for a manual as well. I find it to be pretty cool. I'd only take it if there was a manual version though, so it's still the sedan for me still.
Then you think the E63 Wagon and RS4 Avant are pointless as well.
Good logic.
I have nothing against high performance wagons, but I do think the 5 Series and its variants (M included) are unattractive.
The RS 4 Avant though, yes please.
Don't really see your point. The wagon is great, although personally I'd take the sedan.

you cannot disable traction and stability control fully in the manual, making it significantly slower.
I'd get crazy wagons over anything else, they're the perfect blend of speed, space, ride height. PERFECT CARS.
